Girls Tennis Loses Final Match to a Strong Geneva PDF Print E-mail
Written by Don Taylor
Wednesday, 31 March 2010

In a match that was more competitive than the final score would indicate, the girls’ varsity tennis team lost to a very strong Geneva by a sore of 7 to 0 in the final dual match of the year.  The team compiled a record of 5 wins and 8 losses against extremely strong competition

Djamila Kamanke sustained her first singles loss, after winning her first 12 matches

The loss in no way diminishes the tremendous improvement of all the players, and. Indeed, showed that they could compete with girls who were more experienced than they

My sincere thanks to each of you who took the time to support the team, either by sending “good luck” messages and congratulatory notes, or coming to the matches.  Your support is greatly appreciated by me and all the members of the team

The next court appearance for the team will be at the district tournament on April 13.
